Hey everyone, SUP (Stand up paddling) is one of the fastest growing water sports out right now. I have been paying close attention to the sport and am going to be “taking the plunge” soon. The Latest on Exercise and Pregnancy

Well, if you haven’t heard it yet, exercise during pregnancy is a great way to stave-off some pretty “pesky problems” like:

  • Increased ligament laxity
  • Unnecessary weight gain
  • Change in the center of gravity that could create low back pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

In addition; exercising mothers-to-be can benefit from it in these important ways:

  • It eases back and other musculoskeletal pain
  • Lowers maternal blood pressure
  • Reduces swelling
  • Improves post-partum mood, including sadness.

TRX Suspension Classes coming to Portland, Oregon at Optimum Function

I’m getting ready to offer some small group classes using the TRX system at my Chiropractic, Nutrition and Hypnotherapy clinic, Optimum Function. Below is a video sowing a how the TRX suspension system works. Unlike this video, the classes at Optimum Function will be limited to 3-4 people. The benefit to keeping the classes small is that I can help to make your form perfect so that you will maximally benefit from suspension training.
